canfieldcreations ORIGINALS

Branson, Missouri

Announcement    canfieldcreations & The Yarn Patch formerly located inside Silver Dollar City, an 1880's Theme Park. This on-line venue was started years ago, and Cindy Collins Canfield (me) continues to create. Thank you for taking time to view my shop. I love making art objects, especially useful ones.

Weavings, Paintings, Pottery, All Things Creative! Lately I have been focused on the fiber arts, using my looms. Some are available for purchase. I also love to recycle fabrics!

I battled cancer and am now living proof that determination, and perseverance pays off. Making art is therapeutic, but the real rewards are seeing others love my work as much as I enjoy making it.

Quite often I take throw-away items like torn sheets, or clothing and recycle them into useful woven objects. I make only one-of-a-kind pieces unless it's a set, and I design most of my patterns.

I had a weaving studio that showcases my work and provides a venue for selling it at Silver Dollar City, near Branson Missouri. I was the demonstrating weaver at The Branson Mill, also. I taught art to over 600 elementary children per year and loved it! I retired in May of 2012 and have been creating full-time, ever since. I have taught art to all ages, but especially enjoyed the innocence and imagination of the younger ones. That was my 29th year.

When I grow up I want to be an artist, teacher, or weaver. Well, I guess I can say I am fully grown! Well, maybe not! Everyone has to grow, and I continually grow and learn as I create and meet new people. I am living my dream! Being able to create everyday and share my craft with new onlookers is a wonderful life and I am fortunate to live it! My husband John, of 30 years joined my shop! He was the financier and accountant! My oldest daughter, Clara SeLeena C has graduated college and also demonstrated weaving in our shop. Our middle child Johnell, is going to college and our youngest could be seen winding yarn, helping customers and even weaving on any given day.

Thanks again, for looking at my shop. If I can answer any questions, or you would like a custom made piece please feel free to contact me. I recently added over 7,000 bundles of yarn from 50 cents bargain yarn to upper end naturals, handspun to my shop for sale. since the closing of the shop, I am beginning to sort through what I will never be able to use and will be putting it up for sale, soon.

Artist-Cindy Collins Canfield, that's me, says,"THANK YOU" for visiting my art shop!

Thanks again, for stopping in and checking out my creations!
